New fishing access !

Rainbow Station is a large pastoral leasehold farm in the Upper Wairua Valley that shares its boundary with New Zealand's largest farm - Molesworth Station.
There is a private road that runs through Rainbow Station, all the way to Hanmer Springs. As this is a private road, access to the Upper Wairua River for guided fishing purposes is controlled by Rainbow station. After 4 years of trying to gain access, I'm pleased to announce that Owen River Lodge is now one of the few guiding operations that has permission to guide on the Upper Wairua & Rainbow Rivers.

This will give their guests access to more rivers and stunning iconic New Zealand landscape
