Pelican Bay – H2o Bonefishing, Grand Bahama
April 3-8, 2013 are the dates for the H2o Bonefishing/Pelican Bay trip, hosted with Judith O’Keefe. This is a prime time bonefishing trip, to a top lodge, at an affordable price. This trip is geared towards, but not limited to, first timers or those that have had limited flats fishing experience. Judith is available before and during the trip as a resource for preparation, assistance with gear and technique and to answer your photography questions. In addition, Greg Vincent, the onsite manager of fly fishing operations, will be available and is a great resource for all things bonefishing. The package price per angler sharing a guide and room is $2800. This includes 5 nights lodging, 4 days guided fishing, airport transfers, breakfast and lunch.
Accommodations and Meals – Each of the bonefishing guests will stay in a beautiful waterfront room at the Pelican Bay Hotel. The trip is priced for 2 anglers sharing a deluxe room with 2 queen beds. There is an option available for couples who wish to upgrade to a one bedroom suite with a king bed for an additional cost. Each room has satellite TV, direct dial phone, refrigerator and in-room coffee maker. Breakfast is at the hotel and a picnic lunch-to-order is prepared at the hotel and enjoyed on the water. Dinner is served at the Pelican Bay Hotel as well as approximately twenty restaurants found within five minutes walking distance from the hotel. Dinner is not included in the package.
Fishing – The varied and prolific flats of Grand Bahama are known for their plentiful numbers of bonefish and some varsity sized ones as well. These pristine flats have a mix of wade and boat fishing. The experienced guides are good with both those new to bonefishing as well as experienced flats anglers. H2o Bonefishing uses 17’ Maverick flats skiffs with 85 hp Yamaha outboards.
Great Travel Logistics – Traveling from the west coast, Grand Bahama is one of two Bahamian islands you can fly to, and arrive on the same day without taking a red eye flight.
