Since 1989, Kodiak Island River Camps has been providing guide service to the traveling fly angler. Your hosts, Dan and Randy Busch, are thirty-five year residents of Kodiak Island. They offer a variety of fly fishing opportunities for the visiting angler on Kodiak Island and are an exclusively fly fishing guide service. Kodiak Island River Camps is service-oriented and limits the number of guests to four. If you are booking as a group, trips can be personalized to accommodate schedules or to target a particular species of fish. During your stay they can assist you in developing your fly casting, fly tying and other related fly fishing skills. They welcome men and women fly anglers of all skill levels and ages.

In August they target pink salmon, chum salmon and Dolly Varden trout. Dan does guided fishing by the day which you will confirm and pay for before your arrival. Fishing is done by wading the saltwater bays and rivers along the Kodiak road system. This is for a maximum of four guests per week. All guests stay at their private in-town accommodations, consisting of a two-bedroom unit with full kitchen. Each bedroom contains two single beds with private bath. Excellent pink salmon fishing is available during this time, and they only target them in the salt water bays and estuaries where they are fresh, bright, aggressive and full of energy. Other species of salmon are also available, and they pursue Dolly Varden trout in the many rivers along the road system.
