Built on a promontory, overlooking two lakes and surrounded by rivers, streams and gently rolling hills, Royal Wolf Lodge is located in the center of Katmai National Park on 120 acres of privately owned wilderness. The area surrounding Royal Wolf Lodge boasts an abundance of tundra, alpine and spruce forests, glaciers and snowcapped mountains. The setting is spectacular. They are a small fly-out lodge, catering to twelve guests per week, and providing personalized service. Their knowledgeable and experienced staff and guides have been carefully selected to provide you with courteous and professional assistance.
The lodge is owned and operated by Chris (a bush pilot in Alaska for over 40 years) and Linda Branham. who take great care to ensure you have the most enjoyable time possible while fishing the best trout waters of the state. They specialize in fly fishing for big rainbows, which is primarily done by wading streams and rivers. They have private leased water in addition to remote public water that is accessible by float plane only. Flying Helio Couriers and one Beaver they are able to fish just about anywhere. They also have jet boats and rafts strategically placed for alternate access to the surrounding waters. The techniques used and the waters fished change during the season because of the migratory and feeding habits of the fish.
There are 7 tastefully furnished, guest cabins with private bath, outstanding views and all the comforts of home. Meals are prepared in the main lodge and will please the most educated palate.
