    The lodge fishes from mid March to early November. Following is a list of species and the timing - Spring Steelhead March-May, Spring Kings April-July, Summer Steelhead July-early November, Coho August-October.
  • The 2022 rates are $6065 CDN per person for 6 nights/5 days of fishing, sharing a guide and cabin, plus tax.This is approximately $4900 US. Longer stays are available. Rates are in Canadian dollars and do not include HST (tax). There is a limited option for a private cabin and private guide. There is an option for a cabin rental that includes meals. The Classic Cabins are $250 CDN per night pp shared and $350 private. Deluxe Cabins are $350 CDN per night pp for 2 and $475 private. This includes all meals with a gourmet dinner.

Fishing and Species
The rivers fished are the Skeena, Kalum, Kitimat, Kasiks and Exchansiks. In addition the Copper is a nearby option for unguided fishing. Species primarily fished for are Steelhead ,Kings and Coho. There are also sockeye, pink and chum salmon, sea run Cutthroat and Bull Trout. Fishing is accessed via jet boat or day floats in rafts. The lodge is located right on the Skeena with possible home water fishing. The mighty Skeena River is world famous for producing some of the largest wild salmon and steelhead on earth. The Skeena holds the current steelhead world record for fly-caught fish. Twenty-pound steelhead are not uncommon and there are larger 30-pound steelhead . The monster King salmon of the Skeena have held three former world records. The Skeena also has large runs of Coho, Pinks and Sockeye salmon. The Skeena has dozens of tributaries and feeder streams, each with its own genetically adapted strain of wild salmon and steelhead. It is truly one of the worlds greatest rivers.<br /> <br /> The Kalum River also produces monster wild King salmon. Some of the largest Kings in the Skeena system return to the Kalum. The Kalum also produces large runs of wild steelhead and Coho. Twenty-pound steelhead are not uncommon. The river also has healthy populations of wild Dolly Varden, Cutthroat and Bull trout.<br /> <br /> The Kitimat River produces beautiful salmon and steelhead as well as ocean-run Cutthroats and Dolly Vardens. It also has one of the largest returns of Chum salmon in the area. King salmon start returning early in the Kitimat, making it a great river to fish in June.<br /> <br /> The Kasiks River has excellent wild Coho, Dolly Vardens and Cutthroats. The Kasiks is a spectacular remote river that is accessed by jet boat. The trip up the Kasiks River is something that will not soon be forgotten. Spectacular waterfalls, canyons and mountain peaks surround the river and the ride is definitely a thrill.<br /> The Exchamsiks is another excellent Coho and trout river. The trip upstream starts at the Skeena River below towering granite cliffs that rise up over 1,000 feet. It is a clear-running stream with fantastic scenery and excellent fishing.</p>

The lodge is located on the bank of the Skeena River in Terrace, BC. From this location you have the flexibility to fish a number of rivers, giving the guides and anglers options when one river is not fishing well. Only 40 miles from the ocean, they experience the moderating influence of the marine air that makes for a longer season. With spring, summer and fall fishing, anglers can target the species they are most interested in. Owner and Head Guide Brian Niska sets the tone for 2 handed/spey fishing for steelhead and salmon. He is a certified Master Casting Instructor for 2 handed. 

There are 9 A frame cabins, 7 have been completely remodeled and 2 are "Classic". In the lodge is the dinning room and the recreation room, with a fireplace, pool table and licensed bar. It is the place to hang out after fishing and swap stories. The food is outstanding and the meals memorable. The unique thing about Skeena Spey is that you can fish guided or unguided or any combination. (The specific guided and unguided days must be arranged in advance and are not changeable.) This allows for a variety of approaches to fishing and affects the total cost. Unguided anglers will need to rent a vehicle for those days of fishing.

There are direct flights from Vancouver, BC into Terrace, which makes for easy logistics and no overnights in town. Most anglers fish for 5 days, but shorter and longer stays can be accommodated depending on space.
